My first introduction to Kyra was Christmas Eve, witnessing her resplendent voice as it filled Roncesvalles United Church.
Over the course of three months, I created Kyra's portrait working from life with colour and gestural studies in her north light music studio. Reference photos were taken. Kyra is bathed in a subtle light, standing slightly to her left, looking at the viewer. I wanted to be able to demonstrate her confident,
engaging, and dynamic gesture. It was pure joy to have this wonderful opportunity to paint Kyra.
Commissioned by her wonderful loving father!
Kyra is a dynamic, talented coloratura operatic soprano, educator and voice coach.
